Your payment card is defective. What should you do?

If you haven't started using our app, contact your KBC Brussels branch or KBC Brussels Live.
We'll check your card and, if necessary, ensure that it is replaced as soon as possible.

When will I get my new card?

If you’ve asked to replace your card, you’ll receive your new card by post within 5 business days.

How do I get my PIN?

When you ask us for a new KBC Brussels Debit Card, KBC Brussels Credit Card or KBC Brussels Prepaid Card, it’s sent to your home address. That means you don’t need to collect it in person from your KBC Brussels branch. You can get a PIN for your card either using our KBC Brussels Mobile app or by text message.

Under 18?

You’ll need to ask one of your parents or your legal guardian to apply on your behalf for a new card.

What does a new payment card cost?

  • Got a KBC Brussels Plus Account?
    Your defective card will be replaced for free.
  • Got a KBC Brussels Basic Account?
    You pay 9 euros to have your card replaced.

  1. Log in to KBC Brussels Mobile
  2. Tap ‘My KBC’
  3. Tap your defective debit card
  4. Select ‘Block or replace’
  5. Tap ‘Replace your card’ and follow the on-screen instructions
  1. Open KBC Brussels Touch and tap or click ‘°°° More’
  2. Select ‘Debit cards’
  3. Select your defective debit card
  4. Tap or click the ‘Manage’ tab
  5. Select ‘Block or replace’ and follow the on-screen instructions

Just go to your KBC Brussels branch and get yourself a KBC Brussels Go Card on the spot. You can use it until you receive your new debit card.

KBC Brussels will automatically send you a new card a few weeks before the expiry date.

You don’t have to wait until you receive your debit card to start using it. That’s because your card details are already available in KBC Brussels Mobile for making payments.

The same goes for when you have to apply for a new debit card after losing your current one or it gets stolen. Once you request a replacement card, its details can be seen right away in KBC Brussels Mobile.

Where can I find the details of my new debit card?

  1. Log in to KBC Brussels Mobile
  2. Tap ‘My KBC’
  3. Scroll to ‘Means of payment’ and tap your new debit card

You also have the option here of linking your card details to your Google Pay, Fitbit Pay or Garmin Pay app to pay with your smartphone or smartwatch.

  4. Tap the three dots at the top right
  5. Tap ‘Block or replace’
