What is accident insurance?
An unfortunate accident can have major consequences. All it takes is a heavy fall from a ladder or a serious sports injury and you’re suddenly facing the prospect of a long rehabilitation, or worse still, long-term or permanent physical disability. That’s when accident insurance becomes your financial lifesaver, protecting you from (high) medical bills after your accident.
It helps you pay for major costs and investments
Some costs can quickly stack up, such as for:
- physiotherapy
- a first prosthesis
- modifications to your home
- ...
Your accident insurance will cover those costs, allowing you to recover without financial worries.
It goes further than your health insurance fund and hospitalisation insurance
Your accident insurance covers costs that are not or only partially reimbursed by your health insurance fund or hospitalisation insurance.
What’s more, it continues to support you financially for up to five years after your accident.
Accidents outside work are covered by your accident insurance
KBC Brussels's accident insurance has you covered should you suffer a personal accident, for instance, in your home or garden, or while playing sports or pursuing a hobby.
