What is KBC-Life Experience?
KBC-Life Experience is a guaranteed-interest savings insurance product with several investment options. It is an attractive option if you can do without your money for at least eight years.
It's a low-risk product due to the fact that interest is guaranteed on the amounts saved until the end of each investment option.
You can choose from several investment options, depending on your own interests and possibilities. Your contact at KBC Brussels will be happy to explain it for you.

Fixed return
KBC Insurance guarantees that each net deposit (the premium you pay less taxes and charges) will earn interest at a fixed rate until your investment option ends. We currently offer the following options:
- Life Class 21 5Y at 2.20% (that is guaranteed for a period of one year)
- Life Class 21 3Y at 1.90% (that is guaranteed for a period of three years)
- Life Class 21 5Y at 2.00% (that is guaranteed for a period of five years)
- Life Class 21 8Y at 2.30% (that is guaranteed for a period of eight years)
- Life Class 21 Cash (with a 0.60% rate of interest that is guaranteed until the end of the month and can be renewed each time for periods of one month)
When a rate-guarantee period ends, the reserve is automatically converted to ‘Life Class 21 Cash’ at no cost.
Potential to earn a profit share
Besides the certainty of obtaining a minimum return, you could receive a profit share each year and also a growth bonus the first calendar year after making a deposit. The profit share and growth bonus are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year, depending on the economic situation and the results of KBC Insurance. There is no profit share or growth bonus for ‘Life Class 21 Cash’.

This product was awarded the ‘Towards Sustainability’ label for a one-year period. The label, which was developed by Febelfin (the Belgian banking federation), is re-evaluated every year. It is a quality standard under the supervision of the Central Labelling Agency of the Belgian SRI Label (CLA). The standard defines several minimum requirements that sustainable financial products must meet at product level and in the investment process. See www.towardssustainability.be/the-label/about-the-label for more details. Products that are awarded this label may not meet your own sustainability objectives and the label itself may not necessarily meet the requirements of future national or European regulations. KBC-Life Experience is covered by the Belgian deposit-protection scheme for guaranteed-interest life insurance. The scheme is triggered if it is established that KBC Insurance has defaulted. The protection currently amounts to 100 000 euros per policyholder for all reserves combined that are held with KBC Insurance under protected guaranteed-interest life insurance contracts.
If you withdraw your reserves early, you may receive less than what you’ve put in due to the deduction of taxes and charges. Therefore, the recommended holding period is at least eight years.
