At KBC Brussels, you get more than just property insurance
When you take out home insurance, you’re insured against the financial consequences if there’s any damage. It’s also a good idea to insure your personal belongings, such as your furniture, clothes and computer.
Are you a tenant? If you’re a tenant in Flanders or Wallonia, you have to take out home insurance. It’s not compulsory if you rent accommodation in Brussels, but it is recommended. One good reason for doing this is that you have to return your rented property to the owner in its original state.
Are you a home owner? In that case, home insurance is not compulsory. Even so, like most other owners, it’s best to take out insurance to cover damage caused to your home by things like fire, storm, hail and natural disasters.
What types of insurance can you get?
Property insurance is a popular type of non-life insurance policy that covers more than just fire damage.
