  • Bodily injuries sustained by the children in your care (a legal requirement in Flanders)

Compensation and deductible

For your liability as a childminder, we compensate up to 30 million euros for bodily injuries and up to 10 million euros for material damage. For material damage only, there is a deductible of 250 euros per claim event.

What are the main exclusions?

  • We do not compensate damage to items belonging to the children in your care (e.g., toys they bring with them) or your family (e.g., furniture or household items)
  • In the insurance against physical injury sustained by the children you mind, we do not compensate damage to existing prostheses or orthopaedic devices, such as glasses, contact lenses, braces and hearing aids

4. New optional legal assistance cover for contractual and other disputes

The new optional legal assistance cover for contractual and other disputes under our family insurance also provides legal support in the event of administrative or tax disputes, construction disputes and disputes relating to a first divorce. That's particularly useful as lawyers and the courts can end up costing you a lot of money.

If you take out personal legal assistance insurance and the optional cover for contractual and other disputes, the premium you pay is tax-deductible.

Home-help insurance

Do you regularly have someone help you at your home?

If you pay someone, such as a cleaner, babysitter or gardener, to help you in or at your home, you are legally required to take out industrial accident insurance. Our Insurance Expert would be pleased to explain this to you in more detail.
